IELTS and PTE Academic both assess English-language ability, but their formats and test experiences differ. Your first step is to confirm which tests and scores your target institution accepts.
Think about the test environment
PTE is computer based, including speaking tasks completed into a microphone. IELTS delivery options and speaking formats depend on the test version and centre. Consider which environment helps you perform naturally.
Review the task types
Look at official sample tasks for listening, reading, writing and speaking. Do not choose only because someone says one test is easier.
Take a diagnostic test
A diagnostic attempt can reveal which format suits your current skills and where preparation is needed.
FEV can help you understand your target and select a preparation program after you confirm the test accepted by your institution.
